• DECA

  DECA – Distributive Education Clubs of America
  
  Interested in business or being an entrepreneur? This is YOUR club! Learn leadership and presentation skills in the areas of marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. DECA is a nationally recognized organization and provides opportunities for college scholarship, business internships, and professional networking.
  
  

  In seven years, Chicago Christian has had 65 state medalists and 3 national medalists.

• Education Trips

  Recent educational trips include travel to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Another European trip is currently in the works. Additionally, history teacher Christian Altena, regularly plans bicycle excursions on the Great Allegheney Passage (GAP) cycling from Pennsylvania to Washington D.C., making stops at important historical sites along the way.

• Intramurals

  Our Student Council hosts an Intramural Sports Tournament each quarter.  Each tournament is a week long event during our community lunch time.  Not athletic?  Don't worry - the games rotate through various sports and have included chess, a bean bag toss and badminton in addition to traditional sports. The purpose is to have fun and build community!

• Mock Trial

  Where the courtroom meets the stage … as a member of this club, you’ll compete using case materials to build arguments and present a legal case before actual attorneys and judges. Each year, Illinois assigns one case – recently they have involved bullying and murder. You will compete against teams across the state all while sharpening your critical thinking, public speaking, and acting skills. Will you be a lawyer or a witness? In the last six years, Chicago Christian has won 3rd place in state twice, and placed in the top 8 four times.

• Scholastic Bowl

  Our team holds the 2019 State Championship title and we are ranked 7th nationally!

  
  Scholastic Bowl is a fastpaced competition where teams of five players race to answer knowledge-based questions in all academic areas, but also current events including popular culture, sports and even video games.  Are you a mathlete? Or do you know the lyrics to every song?  Scholastic Bowl may be just right for you.  Scholastic Bowl is a year-long IHSA activity for men and women.  The CCHS Scholastic Bowl team are the Metro Suburban champions two years running and last season we won the 1A State title in a thrilling match in Peoria.

• Student Council

  Our goals include promoting a positive experience at Chicago Christian for all of our students, and helping to develop student leaders. We take our school mission seriously – being a Christ-centered learning community intent on restoring God’s world. We have elected sophomore, junior, and senior representatives. Our committees include: spiritual life, school spirit, mission/service, student activities, and public relations.
  

  
  All members take the Christian Leadership class where they grow in their understanding of the principals of leadership and their own giftedness.
