Shadow days are an excellent opportunity for students to visit during an actual school day to see our program in action.  The experience varies depending on grade level.  If you are interested in visiting one of our K-8 buildings or learning more, please contact Wilma at 708.388.7656 or

If you are interested in visiting Chicago Christian High School, we have a more comprehensive shadow day program where the student will experience a typical school day at Chicago Christian High School (CCHS).  You, the “shadow,” will be paired with a current CCHS student, your “host.” You will shadow your host throughout his/her day of classes getting to know and understand both the academic and social aspects of CCHS. This is your opportunity to experience first-hand why CCHS is an excellent choice. Lunch in our cafeteria is included in your day. Read below for more information about how to schedule your shadow day at CCHS.

Who can shadow at CCHS?
We welcome any students in grades 6-12 to schedule an appointment to shadow at CCHS anytime throughout the school year.
How do I schedule a shadow day?
CCHS encourages prospective students to schedule a Shadow Day visit any day of the week in which school is in session. Requests for shadow visits should be made at least one week in advance of the desired date. You may register online. Call our Admissions Office at 708.388.7656 if you have questions or require assistance with this online form. All shadow day requests must be approved by the Admissions Office prior to the student arriving at school.
Who will I shadow during my visit?
Your host will most likely be a freshman or sophomore who is involved in classes and activities similar to your interests. If you know a current CCHS student, be sure to request him/her when scheduling your visit and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
When & where should I arrive for my Shadow Day?
You will enter CCHS at the main entrance on Oak Park Avenue. In the main office, you will be introduced to your shadow host and receive your complimentary lunch certificate and name badge. Please arrive by 8:00 a.m. and enter Chicago Christian at the main entrance on Oak Park Avenue.  A snack and a lunch will be provided.  Students can be picked up at the same location at 3:00 p.m.
What is my attire for the day?
Students should wear casual clothing; slacks or jeans, shirts with sleeves, and shoes. Hats are not permitted. CCHS students do not wear uniforms. Please dress appropriately.
What else do I need to know?
Our goal is to make this an exciting and fun day for prospective students. Ask as many questions as you can. Our students, faculty, and staff are more than willing to share their experiences and knowledge with you.

Special shadow days for the 2018-19 school year will be offered at Chicago Christian High School on the following dates:

  • January 11th - ATHLETIC Focus
  • March 1st - FINE ARTS Focus
  • March 15th - STEM Focus

Please register online. Call our Admissions Office at 708.388.7656 if you have questions or need assistance with the online form. All shadow day requests must be approved by the Admissions Office prior to the student arriving at school.

Placement tests are not required for all incoming students.  We base our admissions decisions on prior school records (report cards, recommendations, and prior standardized testing).  If additional information is needed about your student, we will contact you to schedule a testing date.

SCCS is committed to training children of families where Jesus Christ is an ever present reality in the home. One of the parents must be able to express a living faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as his or her personal Savior and demonstrate evidence of that faith through family devotions and regular church attendance.

If you are interested in applying or learning more about attending any of our three campuses, please:

1) Submit your information online, or

2) Call Wilma in our Admissions Office at 708.388.7656 who will be happy to answer any of your questions.

Our dress code philosophy is a reflection of the purpose of the school. Rather than tell students what to wear, we expect them to dress as a member of a Christ-centered Learning Community would dress. Simply stated, our students dress must be neat, clean and modest. While the subject of school uniforms is raised from time to time, we are not currently considering them.

At SCCS, we strive to provide an excellent Christian education at an affordable tuition level.  We understand the sacrifice many of our parents make to provide a Christian education for their child(ren).

The tuition schedule below is for American students and reflects significant support to the school from individuals and families who make monetary gifts to the school as well as the financial support the school receives from the SCCS Foundation.  Without this support, tuition would be much higher.
