Shadow days are an excellent opportunity for students to visit during an actual school day to see our program in action.  The experience varies depending on grade level.  If you are interested in visiting one of our K-8 buildings or learning more, please contact our Admissions Coordinator.

If you are interested in visiting Chicago Christian High School, we have a more comprehensive shadow day program where the student will experience a typical school day at Chicago Christian High School (CCHS).  You, the “shadow,” will be paired with a current CCHS student, your “host.” You will shadow your host throughout his/her day of classes getting to know and understand both the academic and social aspects of CCHS. This is your opportunity to experience first-hand why CCHS is an excellent choice. Lunch in our cafeteria is included in your day. Read below for more information about how to schedule your shadow day at CCHS.  You can choose almost any day that CCHS is in session, or choose from our special shadow dates listed below.

Who can shadow at CCHS?
We welcome any students in grades 6-12 to schedule an appointment to shadow at CCHS anytime throughout the school year.
How do I schedule a shadow day?
CCHS encourages prospective students to schedule a Shadow Day visit any day of the week in which school is in session. You can also choose from our special Shadow Dates listed below.  Requests for shadow visits should be made one week in advance of the desired date. Complete this online form to register: CCHS SHADOW REGISTRATION. Call our Admissions Office at 708.388.7656 if you have questions or require assistance with this online form. All shadow day requests must be approved by the Admissions Office prior to the student arriving at school.
Who will I shadow during my visit?
Your host will be a CCHS student that is involved in classes and activities similar to your interests. If you know a current CCHS student, you are welcome to request him/her when scheduling your visit and we will make every effort to make this happen.
When & where should I arrive for my Shadow Day?
Come to the main entrance of CCHS on Oak Park Avenue. Arrive at 8am, and schedule a pick up at 3pm at the same location.  We will provide you with a snack and lunch - be sure to let us know if you have any food allergies.
What is my attire for the day?
Wear casual clothing: slacks or jeans and a shirt with sleeves.  Please dress modestly and note that hats are not permitted. CCHS students do not wear uniforms.
What else do I need to know?
Our goal is to make this an exciting and fun day for you! Ask as many questions as you can. Our students, faculty, and staff are more than willing to share their experiences and knowledge with you.
When can I shadow?
You can shadow almost any day that CCHS is in session, or choose from one of our Special Focus Shadow Dates:

ATHLETIC Shadow Day - October 14, 2019

STEM Shadow Day - November 11, 2019

FINE ARTS Shadow Day - November 15, 2019

If you are interested in applying or learning more about attending any of our three campuses, please either call the Admissions Office at 708.388.7656 or submit an Online Inquiry Form.  We will then email you a link for our online admissions system.  Through this system, you'll be able to find out more about our schools, upcoming events, get questions answered, and even apply online.  Applications do require a $250 Non-Refundable fee per applicant ($125 is an application fee, and $125 is credited toward your first tuition bill.)

Placement tests are not required for all incoming students.  We base our admissions decisions on prior school records (report cards, recommendations, and prior standardized testing).  If additional information is needed about your student, CCHS will contact you to schedule a testing date.
