Bluestem

The Bluestem Reading Award program is for students in grade 3 - 5.  As they read titles from the list below, they may take brief quizzes in the school library for credit. Those reading at least three by the end of February 2019 get to vote in a statewide poll for their favorites. By the end of March all reading should be complete, making participants ready for the sub lunch and pizza lunch rewards. In addition, they will get to choose a free book and receive a special certificate at the awards assembly in June.

*Third graders will have a shortened list for prizes, though students are free to read all books.

Click here to record your summer reading by answering a few questions about your book. You will need an email address to enter responses.

Not all books may be on the final SCCS-Oak Lawn list.  Students will get credit for all books that they read even if they are not on our list.

As always, students are encouraged to read with discernment and an eye out for God's revelation.
