Mr. Tom and Mrs. Judy Yonker

Tom and Judy are long-time supporters of Christian education.  Their support includes stewardship of their alma maters:

  • Southwest Chicago Christian School, Tom is a member of the CCHS class of 1975
  • Timothy Christian School, Judy is a member of the class of 1976
  • Calvin University where they met, graduating in 1979. 

After graduation, Tom and Judy returned to the Chicago area and raised three children all educated through Southwest Chicago Christian Schools, Jennifer class of 1996, Kyle class of 1998 and Chad class of 2002.  The Yonkers currently have eight grandchildren attending Southwest Chicago Christian Schools, from a sophomore in high school to 1st grade at Tinley Park. Their commitment extends to giving of their time as well. serving as past school board members on the Southwest Chicago Christian School Board and Tom serving on the Roseland Christian School Board.  Tom has proudly served as a board member for Elim Christian Services.  Tom & Judy are both long time members of Orland Park Christian Reformed church.
Tom has had a successful career in the waste and recycling industry.  He is currently President of Homewood Disposal Service located in Homewood, Illinois as well as Executive Director at both Service Sanitation in Gary, Indiana and Arrowaste in Jenison, Michigan. Tom has served many different trade and business organizations in the past including local chambers of commerce, and Board of Governors of National Solid Waste Industry now known as National Waste and Recycling Association (NWRA) and as a trustee of Teamsters Local 731 benefits funds.
